About Me

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Aida Rojas Ebeling has always pursued her passion for art. She studied Illustration at El Instituto de Diseño de Caracas before moving to New York in 1998, where she earned an MFA in Art Education with a minor in Painting from Pratt Institute. While in New York, she exhibited at Pratt, the Venezuelan Consulate, and completed a summer residency at Cooper Union.

After teaching at The Buckley School in Manhattan, Aida moved to the Pacific Northwest, where she continued sharing her love of art through local programs while raising her two daughters. Today, she paints full time from her Kirkland studio, drawing inspiration from her Latin American heritage, Spanish mosaic tiles, and the vibrant layers of family and memory.

Since 2022, Aida has been an active member of Women Painters of Washington, exhibiting in regional shows including the Edmonds Arts Festival, Studio 103 in Seattle, Larson Gallery in Yakima, and Matzke Fine Gallery on Camano Island. Her work also appears in local art markets and private collections.

Her paintings are a joyful reflection of her roots, motherhood, and the beauty she finds in everyday life.
